Bail Counties
Nassau County is a county in the state of New York. Like all other counties they offer bail bonds for people in Nassau County. Nassau County bail bonds agencies are open mostly twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. They want to make it easy for people who are arrested to get in touch with a Nassau County bail bond agent. They want you to be able to get you your freedom back without spending a lot of time behind bars. Like most other bail bonds, Nassau county bail bonds are a contract between the agent and the defendant. The contracting is saying that the defendant will pay the Nassau County bail agent ten to fifteen percent of the amount of the bond. The defendant has to pay this as a fee to the Nassau County bail agent for putting up the remainder of the money that is needed for bail. This money had to be paid by the Nassau County bail agent to the court. Even if you have the money to make bail, you may still require the services of a Nassau Count bail bond agent.
The judge might request that you pay the bail with a Nassau County bail agent as a way to have more security. If you have a record of not showing up to court when you are scheduled, the judge might request you use an agent. The court may just want to use a Nassau County bail agent as a “babysitter” to ensure that you show up for every stage of your court proceedings and that you do not skip town. That way there is a better chance of you showing up for every stage of your trial. The Nassau County bail agent may require that you post some type of collateral. They might ask that you put up the deed to your house or the title for your car. You will of course get this back from the Nassau County bail agent after you have completed all phases of court. You will get all your money and collateral back even if you are found guilty. So it doesn’t matter is you are found either guilty of innocent, the job of the Nassau County bail agent is over after the trial is done. Most Nassau County bail agencies handle all kinds of different bonds, including DUI, burglary, assault, and other various types of charges.
You do not want to skip out on your bail because there will be consequences. One of the consequences is the Nassau County bail agent might have to contact a bounty hunter. If that occurs then you may be required to pay an extra fee once you are apprehended by the bounty hunter. You may also get more charges added on to the existing charges you have already been accused of. You may get bail jumping charges, which does hold time and the time may seem like a lot more if you are already facing jail time to begin with. You may not be able to ever have bail set again because of your previous record as well. So no matter what, show up for your court dates, regardless of whether or not you use Nassau Count Bail Bonds.
